Jon Schwab, LMFT
Sometimes in life we may become overwhelmed by various circumstances, feeling unable to pursue our course in life. Psychotherapy can help us to encounter these circumstances effectively with a belief in ourselves and our abilities. If we only have control over our own behavior, then building personal skills, awareness, and efficacy is the best path to enhancing our experience.
Jon empathically and collaboratively work with individuals and families towards healing, awareness, and authenticity. While exploring your unique experience he will help you to process meaningful life events, underlying dynamics, and accompanying emotions. Employing a person centered approach with psychodynamic, dialectical, and mindfulness based techniques Jon attempts to facilitate insight, emotional integration, and movement towards your personal goals. Jon’s intention as a therapist is to clear the path that leads to your most realized and developed self.
Jon earned his B.A. in Psychology from California State University, Monterey Bay and his Master’s Degree in Counseling from Saint Mary’s College of California.
