Rachel Connelly, MFT

How many times do we as humans believe that one experience changes the course and direction we live our lives? Each of us has our own story, and sometimes an experience in childhood, or a combination of experiences leaves us feeling confused, frightened, sad, and often tremendously isolated. I believe therapy is a tool that facilities a deeper connection to ourselves. The therapeutic process can unravel harmful repetitive behaviors and change is possible. Your painful experiences do not have to define you.

My approach to therapy always starts with listening to my client’s needs. My methods evolve through constant customization based upon my observations of personality traits and the unique circumstances that require my assistance. I have employed a variety of therapeutic techniques including traditional talk therapy, body-orientated therapy, play therapy and expressive arts.

I hold a Masters in Counseling from John. F. Kennedy University where I practiced Holistic methodologies. I have received specialized training in the field of neuropsychology working with Autism, ADHD, Aspergers and Tourette’s syndrome. I especially enjoy working with adolescents and children.
